The Lavenham Society was established in the mid-1990s. Its aims are to:
• Emphasis and promote the largely unspoiled environment of Lavenham with its long history
• Encourage and support good, relevant and sympathetic standards of planning and architecture in all renovation and development
• Work with local government at parish, district and county level and with other groups to inform and promote the views of the Society
The Society organises regular talks from interesting speakers at Lavenham Guildhall and arranges guided tours to local places of interest. To view this year’s events, see the Lavenham Society 2018 Newsletter.
Life membership of the Society is £40 for a single person (£60 joint membership).
Members may purchase tickets for the Society’s talks and visits at a discounted rate and also receive an annual newsletter.
To become a member of the Society please complete the membership application form in the blue Lavenham Society leaflet, available from the village hall or from Richard Morgan (secretary) on 01787 247421 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Lavenham Society Annual Newsletter contains information on recent events and topics of interest and lists forthcoming events organised by the Lavenham Society.
