The fantastic Lavenham Christmas Fair starts Friday 1st December 5.30 – 8.30pm continues into Saturday 2nd  11 – 5pm and Sunday 3rd 11 – 4.30pm. Timings below:

Friday  Dec 1:  

5pm:                   Lavenham School Children singing

5.30pm:              Father Christmas switches on Christmas tree

5.30 – 8.30pm:  The D’Ukes Ukulele Band  

5.30 – 8.30pm:  Up close encounters with Birds of Prey

6pm – 8.30pm:   Father Christmas in his Grotto  

  Saturday Dec 2   

11am – 12pm: The Long Melford Silver Street Band,

                           Traditional carols and Christmas music

12 – 1pm:         The Lavenham Upbeat Contemporary Choir 

1 – 2pm:           The Bury Fair Women’s Morris Dancers and The Band of Christmas Past          

2 – 5pm:           The D’Ukes Ukulele Band  

11am – 5pm:     Birds of Prey all day

11am- 4.30pm: Father Christmas in his Grotto

Sunday Dec 3: 

11am – 12pm:    Lisa and the Sax Maniac – All women saxophone band

12 – 1.30pm:     Ben Smith, musician and singer

1.30 – 4pm:        The Big Easy 6, New Orleans Jazz Band

11am – 4pm:      Birds of Prey all day

11am-3.30pm: Father Christmas in his Grotto

RAFFLE PRIZES: Top prizes include an overnight stay for two with afternoon tea and use of the Spa at the historic Swan Hotel,  a three-night stay at the beautiful Mint Cottage, Lavenham, with four-poster bed and log fire, a two-night stay at the unique and romantic The Cottitch, one of the oldest weavers’ cottages in Lavenham,  a lovely freshwater pearl necklace from Jonathan Lambert Fine Jewellers,  a £100 gift voucher for clothes and accessories from Retail Therapy Shops, Lavenham,  a Christmas hamper from Lavenham Butchers….and many more exciting prizes.

 Tickets are £1 each and are on sale until Monday December 11.

 On Saturday 2nd Dec the TIC will be holding the Traditional Lavenham Lantern Walk. Finishing at the Swan Hotel for mulled wine and mince pies. To book contact the TIC 01787 248207

     Handel's Messiah will be performed in Lavenham Church on Good Friday March 30th at 7.15pm
